Fender Rhodes Stage Amps
Fender Rhodes Stage models are passive instruments that require an amplifier. You can connect them to a guitar or bass amp, but you’re not going to get the full range of frequencies the Rhodes can produce. Guitar amps simply cut the beautiful lows and high frequencies the instrument.
The original Rhodes preamps can be found in Suitcase and Satellite models. These preamps were designed specifically to drive 73 or 88 pickups and many of them have the famous Rhodes stereo tremolo effect.
An original Rhodes preamp or a custom Rhodes preamp can unlock the full potential of the instrument. You can connect the preamp to any power amp, mixer, or sound card.
