1. Identify the model and year

Check for any identifying markings or serial numbers that can help you determine the specific model and year of manufacture. The month and year are usually stamped on the upper right corner of the harp in this format: WEEK OF THE YEAR / YEAR (e.g: 24/73 will be the 24th week of 1973)

2. Assess the condition

Examine the piano for any signs of wear, damage, or alterations. A well-maintained instrument will generally be worth more than one that has been altered or poorly maintained.

3. Functionality check

Make sure hat all keys, knobs, and switches are functioning properly. Test the sound quality and consistency across all keys.
