1973 Fender Rhodes Stage 88 Keys
1973 Fender Rhodes pianos are known for their distinctive sound. The unique combination of tines, pickups, and hammers contribute to the characteristic warmth and “bark”. This particular piano has been maintained in a humidity-controlled environment, which has preserved its hardware, tines, tonebars, and harp frame in mint condition. It has been upgraded with the the key pedestal bump (the “Miracle Mod”) and has additional enhancements:
Improved Sustain
This piano has been upgraded with our latest set of tonebar grommets, featuring a unique three-shore configuration designed to optimize sustain and note stability. Unlike standard Rhodes grommets, which have a uniform hardness, we use harder grommets in the bass section to improve the stability of over-swinging tines and softer grommets in the mid and higher notes for longer sustain compared to standard Rhodes pianos.
The LA Custom Preamp
The original passive electronics have been upgraded with our signature LA Custom Preamp in a stainless steel, mirror-finished rail. The preamp adds exceptional tonal versatility and a stereo tremolo effect.
This piano is ready for showtime and comes with legs, crossbars, crossbars knob, sustain pedal and rod. It has been fully serviced, perfectly voiced, regulated and tuned in our workshop.
