It had multiple issues including mold and a cracked case. It had been through several owners when I got it and was in need of repair. Nir Benjaminy did an incredible job restoring it to pristine condition. The sound, action and appearance are like new. He explained in detail what he was doing along with pictures during the repair process. He stuck with the quoted price even though he found more issues once it was taken apart. Nir of Fender Rhodes LA has a next level knowledge of the craft of Rhodes. Based on our conversations and the final results, I'm certain his technical prowess greatly exceeds that of the original technicians that made these legendary pianos, decades prior! Sparing the nitty gritty details, my 1970's Rhodes sounded amazing when I brought it in, and better in ways that I couldn't have imagined by the time I took it home. The playing is smoother, I have more variance in velocity (the 'Miracle Mod'), and the "LA Custom Preamp" was the icing on the cake to boost/customize the sound (+ the awesome bonus tremolo function). Not only did he finesse my Rhodes piano, but he left me with the knowledge to fine tune the piano on my own-- (in the event of minor bumps in the *rhode* (ie: loudness of a note/ tone/ tuning/ attack or sustain issues) All and all, if your Rhodes has an issue, or if you're looking to make sure your Rhodes is in tip top shape, this is the place to go.
